Growing up in a LARGE family of 5 brothers and 1 sister I didnt even know what the word girl meant. I was what many call a TOM boy and loved every minute of it. I did whatever my older brothers did, and that meant boy stuff. I hung out with boys, I talked boy slang, and I rode boy bikes. My dad got me into bmx racing when I was a kid. I enjoyed the thrill of kicking male butt on the racetrack, and the injuries that it brought with it. The one thing I didnt really enjoy about racing was all of the handy-down MALE bikes that got thrown my way. Yeah, I guess I should have been happy with an oversized blue bike, but somehow I wanted something more. Maybe, a bike that even had a little pink. Did I say PINK?
Years went by and so did the BMX racing days. I got married to a really great cycling fanatic and he got me into mountain bike racing, and guess what? I had another MALE blue bike that slammed me hard every time I put two feet on the ground. I was happy though just to be riding two wheels, and playing in the mud. (Well, if you ask my buddies they call it cow dung.) I still longed for something more - something my size.
We opened up a bike and snowboard shop in a small town. For fifteen years we lived at the shop. Fixing huffys and working 60 hours a week was tough. My biking days were close to over. Three kids, responsibilities, and life just seemed to happen until one day when my husband decided he wanted to learn to build his own bikes. So he did, and can I say WOW! We sold our businesses and moved to a new chapter in life. Kelson bikes was formed (www.kelsonbikes.com).
I still longed for something more, something pink, something my size, and something just for women. I wanted women to be able to go to one specific spot to find what they were looking for in a hand built custom bicycle. Bella Rosa was born. The many years of riding MALE blue bikes are NO more. It was a long awaited dream come true to finally know that women from all over the world can now ride a bike that is built for their girly figure. So believe it or not - life without boy bike stuff ROCKS my world. We hope that one day your dreams of riding a womens hand built custom bike will soon come true.

Not everyone requires a custom bike to get a proper fit. When large bike manufacturers build stock bikes they build them to fit the "bell curve". Depending on who you talk to this will work for about 80% of the population. This is particularly true for a mans bike since there are considerabley more manufacturers of mens frames. Men tend to fit that bell curve better than women. Stock bikes do not take into consideration flexibility, back and neck pain, numbness, and most importanly your goal's that you would like to acheive on your bike. We couple this information along with your actual body measurements to design and build a bike that is mirrored to your body and riding style. Add a paint job that you have been dreaming of as well as a component package. All this gives you a truly unique bicycle, one-of- a-kind.

Steel is real. We like using steel tubing for Bella Rosa bikes because of it's comfortable and lively ride. With the vast amounts of quality steel tubing available we can acheive a custom tailored ride. We do not use a stock tubesets. We select tubes from Dedacciaii, Columbus, and True Temper to create a "custom blend" of tubes for each individual rider. All frames are treated internally with JB Weilder frame saver to prevent internal corrosion.

STEP 1
INITIAL INTERVIEW

We love talking bikes so were stoked to chat with you by phone regarding your new ride. We will want to find out more about how you dream your new bike will perform and answer any questions about the build process. Your new bike is custom fit for you and only you. This requires an analysis of your riding history and goals.
Once your questions are answered, and we have the initial info we need, we can get to work once we receive your deposit. A $500 non refundable deposit will add your order into our queue.
STEP 2
FITTING & BUILD
A measuring session will need to take place to identify your body's unique geometry. This can be done at our shop or by you at home with our frame fit form. Our goal is to enhance your cycling experience by making you comfortable and efficient on your bike while catering to your personal preferences.
Using all the information weve gathered about you, we will begin the design process using CAD software to perfectly dial in every detail of your custom frame. A quality hand built frame must be carefully cut, mitered, jigged and aligned which takes time. We know that you are excited to get your hands on your new custom bike, so well try to make the waiting process as painless as possible. You will receive constant up-to-date information on the status of your frame from the beginning consultation all the way to the final product.
STEP 3
COMPONENT SELECTION & FRAME FINISHING
While we are busy with the mechanics of your frame, you will have some time to decide on how you would like to finish your bike.
We can make suggestions for a component package and wheel set, but were happy to accommodate your special requests give the parts are available for us to purchase. [link to house component list]
Your custom bike comes with a custom look as well. Several house designs are ready for you to choose from. [link to house designs]. Powder-coating and custom designs are also possible but require additional cost and will be bid individually based on your design.
DELIVERY AND FITTING
This is our favorite part! Delivery of your bike will be arranged on an individual basis. We do prefer to hand over the bike in person so we can spend the necessary time adjusting your bike to fit like a glove. Shipping options are available.
We want to hear how you are doing after you've had a chance to put some miles on your bike. Keep in touch with us and send us a review of your bike. Photos are also very welcome, and if you send us content that we can use on our website, well send you a thank-you gift.
